Jazz has always been my favorite music genre. This has been true ever since I was a little kid and used to sneak downstairs to use my parent’s record playing equipment (no stereo yet at that time) and listen to keyboard artist Ramsey Lewis (“The In Crowd” and “Maiden Voyage”) and saxophonist Eddie Harris playing “Exodus to Jazz”.  When I finally had the money to relocate to any city that I wanted to, I chose Five Points, Colorado, which is a historic area known as the “Harlem of the West” due to its jazz history.

I never thought that I would be saying that my new home would be in Denver, CO.
