The neighborhood of Capitol Hill in the city of Denver, Colorado, is just southeast of the central business district of the city.  Located along major traffic routes, Capitol Hill is a well-established residential area which has commercials centers close by.  Capitol Hill is home to some of the oldest houses in the city.

Capitol Hill is well known as a haven for bohemians and artists and is a major cultural center with many concerts venues, bars, clubs and restaurants.  Colfax Avenue, one of the main thoroughfares in the neighborhood, has a reputation for it’s night life and has numerous bars, 2 concert venues and clubs that are open late-night.  A large gay population resides in Capitol Hill and it has been referred to as a “gay village” because of this.

A pretty neighborhood, Capitol Hill boasts two parks which are often the center of community get-togethers festivals and meetings.  One of Capitol Hill’s claims to fame is it’s having been home to the very first store in the Quiznos chain of restaurants.
